lying is not just saying something that is clearly made up or false, it is stating a degree of emotion which is simply untrue

Is your statement your answer to the question you posed? Either way, it needs to be clarified.
A lie is not the same as a falsehood. Can we clear up this difference before we introduce emotion into the mix...?
