Is facebook infantilizing our minds?

I thought this was interesting.

Facebook and other social networking websites have come into being fairly recently (in the case of facebook, five years ago).

It may be worth considering the possible effects of this new form of communication.

Should we work to combat such developments or do they represent progress?

Puppy,

It is indeed an interesting article that encapsulates one facet of the "digital native" debate.

I read recently that perhaps the problem is that we (or should that be YOU?) have lost the appreciation of solitude and replaced it with a deep fear of loneliness. Being connected is all that matters in this world, but connected in this weird impersonal way.

Just look at what I'm doing here - talking to a puppy! Call the shrink.
